We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Permanent Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional who is ready to take their career to the next level. As a Permanent Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management. This position requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of the manufacturing sector and a proven track record in public accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and manage the company's annual budgeting process, incorporating business forecasts, financial goals, and market trends.
  • Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Manage and monitor the company's inventory, ensuring accurate valuation and optimal utilization.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and present them to senior management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the provision of information for the annual audit.
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement financial management strategies, including risk management.
  • Lead and direct accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports.
  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Prior public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to manage team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial data to senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to work well under pressure.
