Description

Ideal Candidate is responsible for responsible for managing pricing operations for our Houston station, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in the hazmat and general cargo packing industry. This role will expand to include pricing responsibilities for our Dallas and Atlanta stations in the future. The ideal candidate will develop and implement pricing strategies, research industry trends, and collaborate with internal teams to maximize profitability and competitiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPricing Compliance : Ensure all pricing activities adhere to company policies and meet regulatory requirements, especially those related to hazardous materials (hazmat) and general cargo packing. This includes verifying that pricing strategies comply with legal standards, industry regulations, as well as regularly reviewing and updating pricing practices to mitigate compliance risks.Pricing Tools Management:

Implement and/or manage software and tools currently available that optimize the pricing process for accuracy and efficiency.Financial Collaboration : Work closely with finance and accounting teams to evaluate the financial impact of pricing decisions, with a focus on maximizing profit and reducing costs.Data Analysis:

Analyze historical pricing data, cost structures, and competitor pricing strategies to provide informed pricing recommendations.Sales Monitoring & Adjustment:

Track sales performance post-pricing decisions, adjusting prices as necessary to ensure ongoing profitability.Industry Research:

Stay up to date on market trends, pricing models, and competitor strategies to ensure the company remains competitive.Stakeholder Communication:

Clearly communicate pricing changes and strategies to key stakeholders, including operations managers, sales manager and company owners.Sales Funnel Design:

Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective pricing strategies within sales funnels to enhance conversions.Profit Optimization:

Create strategies that optimize profit margins and reduce costs while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.Provide weekly reporting

on all quotes performed, broken down by station. This includes tracking and analyzing quote activity, identifying trends, and ensuring data accuracy. The reports should offer insights into quote performance, volume, and any deviations from standard pricing models, with the goal of optimizing future pricing strategies.Provide sales lead generation

by analyzing pricing trends, customer inquiries, and market data to identify potential sales opportunities. This includes collaborating with the sales team to share insights from quote performance, uncovering new business prospects, and recommending strategies to target key markets or customers based on competitive pricing and demand.Manage the Quotes Email Inbox

by monitoring incoming requests, ensuring all quote inquiries are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner. This includes prioritizing requests, assigning them to the appropriate sales team members, and maintaining accurate records of communications. Ensuring that all quotes are handled efficiently and aligns with company pricing strategies.Performs other related duties as assignedQualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (Preferable)2 - 3 years proven experience as a Pricing Analyst, preferably within the packaging, logistics, or hazardous materials industries.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in pricing tools and software.High attention to detail and accuracy.Problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory standards in hazmat and general cargo packing is a plus.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficientlyPREFERRED QUALITIES
