tributionThe HR Coordinator is often exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department. In addition to recruiting and placing new employees, an HR Coordinator guides employees through various human resource processes and answers any policy questions. The HR coordinator supports recruitment, onboarding, and safety initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Collaborate with department managers to develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations. Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.

Process and manage all workers' compensation and auto claims from start until closure. DMV pull for drivers (MVR)

Investigate workplace accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Serve as the point of contact for insurance carriers, ensuring timely claim submission and responding to any inquiries.

Track and document claim progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records in the HR database.

Assist in developing and promoting a safety-first culture through employee engagement and communication. Facilitate safety training programs for employees.

Ensure new hires are trained in safety protocols during the onboarding process.

Assist in recruitment by posting job advertisements, interviewing candidates, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.

Coordinate onboarding, including setting up new hire paperwork and IT coordination.

Arrange and confirm staff travel and accommodation.

Perform other miscellaneous-related duties as required and assigned by the manager.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.

Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Suite

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.

Experience in safety training and audits is preferred.

At least two to four years of related experience are required.
