Job Description

The Battery Management System (BMS) Software Design Release Engineer is responsible for developing advanced automotive battery packs from initial design concept through full volume production. The Engineer is responsible for the release and system integration of the BMS Software on xHEV vehicle architectures.

Job Responsibilities:Work with the cross-functional requirements team to decompose program BMS software requirements that satisfy vehicle level functional objectivesCross-functional coordination of SW planning, requirements decomposition, integration and validation efforts with internal and external stakeholders in order to meet critical program milestonesLead coordination of BMS SW CDR reviews internally and with the supplier.Provide program deliverables on time per major development milestones.Lead PDT meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage, track and resolve critical issues. Coordinate BMS change management (CCD, CN, IAA, PER).Qualifications

BSME, BSEE, BSCE - Minimum 5 year experienceUnderstanding of Energy Storage Systems and Vehicle ElectrificationGood Analytical and Problem Solving Skills - Familiar electrification architectures including EV, HEV, PHEV and BSG systemsHighly Motivated with Self MotivationDVP&R and DFMEA Basic UnderstandingDemonstrated Ability to Work in a Team EnvironmentPreferred Qualifications:

MSME or MSEE5 Years of vehicle electrification engineering experienceAdvanced automotive battery design and testing experienceElectrification integration or release experience (EES, Calibration or Controls)Product Design and Release ExperienceRequirements Definition and ManagementChange Control and Issue Management Tracking
