Role:
Technical Business Analyst with a strong DevOps knowledge
Location:
Princeton, NJ (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for DevOps projects.Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and user stories.Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses for proposed solutions.DevOps Project Management:
Lead and manage DevOps projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports.Coordinate with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software applications.Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Promote and facilitate the adoption of DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies.Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement.Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DevOps implementations.Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and other IT departments.Conduct regular meetings and presentations to update stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.Prepare and deliver clear and concise documentation, including business cases, technical specifications, and user guides.Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, with at least 3 years focused on DevOps projects.Proven experience in managing and delivering DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline setup, automation, and cloud infrastructure management.Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform).Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments.Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar are a plus.
