Overview:
The Product Owner will be a pivotal figure in our agile scrum team, overseeing the product lifecycle from conception to delivery. Leveraging their healthcare technology background, they will work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop products that fulfill our mission of Empowering LTC Pharmacy, Save Lives. Previous experience in software development will be highly regarded, aiding in translating business needs into functional requirements seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Product management of new products and features within Agile development teams without direct supervisionWork with Scrum Master and technical leads to groom backlog and plan sprintsServe as product owner for one or more products and participate in scrum eventsCreate manuals and product documentationServe as primary interface between product managers and development teamsSupports the development and implementation of the company-wide deployment and go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.Analyzes product management processes and makes recommendations for improved processes.Acts as facilitator and participates in quarterly and monthly strategic cross functional release planning sessions.Work closely with engineers, other Product Managers, Sales and Customer Success reps, QA analysts and other cross functional team members to design, build and deliver cutting edge software solutions that exceed customer expectations.Lead and oversee other product owners and associate product owners to verify and approve the work assigned to them is completed as expected.Participates and provide feedback, support, coaching, in sprint-and release plansUse performance analytics and user insights to develop and improve products and servicesCreate customer persona criteria for beta and limited production release candidatesWork with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisionsOwning, prioritizing and facilitating the refinement of your product backlog to ensure that the agile product teams are delivering the right enhancements to drive consumer and business valuePlaying a key part in continually improving the ways of working with the product team and wider team services team at an early stage in the team’s agile transformationOther duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
BS or MS in a computer science, business, or technology related fieldTwo (2) or more years of successful IT Project Management experienceTwo (2) or more years of successful software development experienceFive (5) or more years of successful experience in software product management with a demonstrated set of experiences along the product management continuumExperience with Agile-Scrum development methodologies and best practicesExcellent analytical skills, with the ability to research, quickly understand, and synthesize complex, often technical problems and then articulate them into simple and clearly understood requirements.Proven track record of building relationships and influencing important clients and internal stakeholders, setting, and managing expectations and creating consensus across diverse groups. Your presentations are confident and polished, and you can deftly handle a group of people throwing tough questions at youAdept at engaging with high-level business problems and understanding the strategic market position of a new product enhancement, looking at competitors in the space, and applying knowledge of best practices and solutions from other industries.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Product Owner Scrum Certification (Scrum.org or Scrum Inc.); Scrum Master CertificationExcellent understanding of software design patterns and architecture paradigmsExperience in managing/creating web and mobile app (Android and iOS) products.Good understanding of web service architecture, web technology stacksPrevious Product ownership of API projectsKnowledge of pharmacy management or similar health care technology solutionsKnowledge of Jira, Aha, and Azure DevOps helpful
