As an Applications Programmer Apprentice , you'll dive into the world of industrial automation, working on the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. Application End Date: October 31st, 2024 Responsibilities Assist in writing, maintaining, and debugging code for industrial automation software. Program PLCs and HMIs to control and monitor industrial processes. Participate in software testing, validation, and quality assurance, including writing and executing test cases. Collaborate with the development team and cross-functional teams to meet project requirements. Continuously learn and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Knowledge and Expertise for this Role: High school degree OR GED equivalent No experience required Preferred Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming is a plus. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and environments. Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#). Understanding of software development principles and methodologies. Desired Attributes: Interest for software development and technology. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Open-mindedness and willingness to accept constructive feedback.
