Job Title: Talent Development Specialist
Reports To: Director, Talent and Leadership Development
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to facilitate instruction for our Retail Financial Centers, Contact Center, and enterprise support teams. In this role, you will enable Allegacy teammates to become proficient in their roles and thrive in their careers. Instruction will be focused on Allegacy's core systems, products, and services, as well as service and relationship skills that foster a positive and strong member experience. You will collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure instructional content is current, accurate, and relevant, and refresh content as needed. You will work closely with other members of the talent development and human resources team. The Talent Development Specialist must be flexible, possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, demonstrate reliability and accountability, and exude confidence and professional presence when presenting to various audiences across the organization.
Specific Accountabilities
Develop proficiency applying adult learning principles and facilitation techniques to deliver engaging, dynamic instruction in face-to-face, virtual, and alternative instructional settings. Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of instructional programs based on formative feedback, course evaluations, on-the-job application, and other measurement techniques. Refresh instructional programs and performance support tools, and collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to ensure materials are current, accurate, and relevant. Adhere to class timelines and schedules while also being flexible to meet business needs. Prepare learner materials and the learning environment to promote effective outcomes. Maintain the learning management system (LMS) and training calendar. Travel to financial centers and other business locations as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong facilitation and presentation skills that stimulate learner engagement and knowledge transfer via a classroom or virtual environment.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Willingness and ability to learn and apply adult learning principles and adapt training to meet the needs of the audience.
Aptitude to quickly learn Allegacy's core systems and related applications as focus for instruction.
Confidence collaborating with business leaders, subject matter experts, and others to identify learning needs and recommend solutions.
Intermediate ability to use Microsoft office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other development tools.
Experience using known instructional design frameworks and adult learning principles to create and deliver effective instruction.
Ability to measure, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of instruction.
Ability to work independently and produce deliverables in a timely manner.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to other locations when needed to achieve individual and business goals.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Association for Talent Development APTD, CPTD or related industry certification preferred.
3 to 5 years as an instructional facilitator in a talent development or similar role. Training experience in the financial services industry preferred.
Prior experience analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and facilitating learning events for positions across all levels of an organization.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems or Learning Experience Platforms.
