Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a a Wargame Developer in support of a government contract for wargaming. Full-time on-site position located in Quantico, VA.

The Wargame Developer works on a wargaming team with Action Officers, Designers, and Analysts. The Developer assists with the wargame design and then researches and produces the scenario, and then fully develops the mechanics of the wargames. Wargames can be manual (paper maps, physical components, dice) or computer-assisted (Excel spreadsheets, computer-based modeling and simulation).

Responsibilities include:Conducting research and developing wargame scenario products, including orders of battle, Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace, and system capabilitiesAssisting Game Designers by developing, adapting, and refining wargame mechanics and rulesDeveloping and producing wargame components, including physical maps, unit tokens, and references materialsDeveloping, operating, maintaining, and archiving simulations databases in support of wargames and events, with government-provided M&S toolsTroubleshooting issues with input, retrieval, or modification of simulations databasesTest M&S, terrain data, and scriptsOperate M&S tools during wargame executionDevelop a Program of Instruction for M&S toolsUsing the developed Program of Instruction, provide operator training and over the shoulder training to government playersProvide data for government and other contractor analystsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills

Over 12 years of experienceMust have a current and active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCIBA/BS in related fieldExperience in wargamingPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Experience in Department of Defense M&SBackground and understanding of military operations and future concepts, especially for the Marine Corps.

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $122870 - $208890

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
