Senior Business Analyst
for a federal construction project related to complex rail, transit, and other transportation projects in NY & NJ.
The ideal candidate has at least
10 years
of full-time experience in data structure management, analytics, and report generation via Power BI, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Construction, or related fields.
This position will be full-time, on-site. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to, the following:Develop and track project performance metrics, reports, and collaboration sites to assist with project/program schedule monitoring and communicate status updates to management teams.Analyze and use data via Power BI to identify key project issues and variance from approved plans.Implement new software and innovate processes to existing construction scheduling workflow, such as eBuilder.Perform data visualization and forecast trends using statistics and established pattern-finding techniques.Managing data sets, ensuring they are clean, accurate, and ready for analysis, involving data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting.Assists in process development and implementation of project control reporting procedures.QUALIFICATIONS
include, but are not limited to, the following:A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Construction, or related fields.10+ years
of professional experience working directly as a
full-time Data/Business Analyst
using Power BI.Strong understanding of data analysis and visualization principles and proficiency in Power BI and other data tools.Excel expertise including macro development, look-up tables, complex formulas, and pivot tables.Proficiency in data management, production, and report development is required.Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat).
