OneSparQ is looking for a Sr. Network Security Engineer to join a growing Software Development company located in Atlanta, GA.Required Skills:5+ years of Cisco security and networking experience3+ years of experience deploying and managing deploying Cisco security solutions3+ years of experience identifying and remediating security vulnerabilitiesStrong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, routing, and switchingHands on experience with Cisco firewall, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologiesAdditional Skills:CISSP certificationResponsibilities:Implement robust security architectures using Cisco security technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Firepower, ISE, Umbrella, XDR).Integrate security solutions into existing network environments using routing technologies (eg. OSPF, BGP)Manage the configuration of Cisco security devices and software, ensuring they are correctly set up and maintained.Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity using tools like Cisco Stealthwatch, XDR, and Firepower Management Center.Regularly assess and tune security devices for optimal performance and efficiency.Ensure all Cisco security solutions are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.Maintain detailed documentation of the security infrastructure and configurationsCoordinate with Cisco and other third-party vendors for support, product updates, and new implementations.Work closely with other IT teams, such as network engineering, systems administration, and application development, to ensure cohesive security measures.Evaluate new security technologies and solutions through proof-of-concept testing and analysis.Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause of security incidents and breaches.Lead and mentoring junior network security engineers and other IT staff.Manage security projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.
