POSITION SUMMARY
Material Handler is responsible for fulfilling customer orders in a timely, efficient, safe, and accurate manner with minimal to no damage of customer freight. This is including, but not limited to, receiving inbound freight, sorting, processing, picking of product, and shipping of finished goods material.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Physically moving product as requested, with a sit-down forklift, around the dock for customer's orders or projectsQuality Control checks utilizing infrared scan guns, to ensure order accuracySafe handling of material and product for customer orders or projectsVerbal and written communication in English with Operations Dock Personnel and ManagementRegular and predictable attendanceOTHER SIGNIFICANT JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma / GED2+ years sit down forklift experiencePREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
2+ Years of open dock/warehouse experienceRF Scan gun experienceREQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. (Equipment or team lift required if beyond 50 lbs)Attention to detail for verifying order details when picking/packing customer ordersMay be bi-lingual, but must be able to read, write, and speak EnglishPREFERRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)
Ability to Multi-taskTeam-orientedStrong attention to detailPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to dress appropriately depending on weather conditions.
Ability to withstand possible extreme cold or heat conditions.
