PURPOSEShipping personnel is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day shipping activities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, work well as an individual or team member. Skills must include a strong grasp of international and domestic shipping, including the ability to work closely with local couriers to protect OTD schedules. Customs and Trade compliance experience is desired of this position to protect the company from fines and our customer's products from being held due to non-compliance. This person must be able to juggle multiple tasks at once and be able to thrive in a fast paced, demanding, and sometimes unpredictable high-tech environment. Having the experience to anticipate issues that could lead to shipping delays is critical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of landing, invoices, orders, or other records.Work with local carriers to schedule pickups for both International and Domestic shipments.Utilize the shipping backlog to ensure on-time the shipping in a 24/7 operating environment.Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Inserts items into containers, using spaces, fillers and protective padding.Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. Package product according to company guidelines.Work with shift supervisor and production manager to prioritize orders and ensure jobs are packaged and shipped on schedule.Collaborate with business management resources to confirm daily shipments.Provide Oracle system transactions to ensure accurate material tracking.Responsible for ensuring Trade Compliance and Customs are within compliance.Share Warehouse workload with team members to include pulling material for internal requests, Chemical deliveries, Daily Cycle Counts.Follow all company policies and guidelines.May perform other duties as assigned not listed in job description.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Experience in International Shipping with knowledge of customs/trade compliance is highly desired.HASMAT Certification is a huge plus.Oracle / SAP / ERP systems experience.Working knowledge of ACE.Familiar with HTS codes.Experience with local couriers, domestic and international carriers.Experience working with FedEx, UPS, DHL and understanding pick up/cut off times.Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Able to communicate across multiple organizations both internally and externally.Strong Excel, Word, Power Point skills.Dynamic, energetic, and driven - ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment.Working Conditions:

Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, or crouching for up to 8 hours or more a day.Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. or more.Work area has fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.Moderate to loud noise level.Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $19.30 and $25.00. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
