OUR STORYTHE CHICAGO CUBS FRANCHISE
is a charter member of Major League Baseball's National League. Since 1876, the team has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in the 1907 and 1908 seasons. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports. Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee sign, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916, making it the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball.HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
The Warehouse Associate, part-time hourly position plays a vital role in delivering best-in-class operating experiences to internal and external stakeholders of Cubs operations. The role includes the receiving of inbound deliveries, movement of goods from storage locations, coordination of inventory levels and delivery of goods to end users. The role will typically work 30 hours a week.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Perform product movements in a safe and secure method, following the policies and procedures laid out by the departmentSafely drive vehicles as large as a 16-foot box truck to other heavy machinery that includes forklifts, scissor lifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.Maintain and update inventory counts and properly communicate resultsKeep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilizationPlanning and performing labor projects for special events and special occasions around the Chicago land area,Assisting all departments including, but not limited to grounds crew, cleaning, setup, events, security, and engineeringCandidates will receive industry-specific certificationWHAT YOU'LL BRING:
High school diploma or equivalent.Must have a valid driver's licenseDesire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment.Must be able to work 30 hours a week.Must be able to work nontraditional hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededAttention to detail and good time management skills.Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform the following physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground, walk/run up and down ramps, walk and stand for extended periods of timeWHAT SETS YOU APART:
Experience driving and operating a forklift, pallet jack, and other equipmentHave strong technical skills and be comfortable using various software and digital tools.
