Who You Are
We are seeking a talented and experienced
Full-Stack Software Engineer
to join our growing team. We are seeking candidates with expertise primarily in Python (this will be a backend-leaning role) and also in React. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Spot & Tango, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable web applications for our customers and for internal company use.
Responsibilities:Play a lead role designing and building new features for our core products, primarily using Django, React, and React NativeQA efforts by writing unit tests and thoroughly testing code before mergingEnsure high code quality by conducting thorough testing prior to integrationCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure web applications achieve their business goalsOptimize applications for maximum performance and responsiveness, especially on mobile devicesTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issuesImplement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of user dataStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to enhance our productsParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure compliance with coding standardsContribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the teamHelp us scale the company, the culture, and our productsQualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred2-5 years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Software EngineerProficiency in Python and React, with a strong portfolio showcasing your workFamiliarity with Django and React (or React Native)Experience in developing and deploying web applicationsFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrationsSolid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and TypeScriptExperience using Storybook for FE component standardizationStrong SQL database design and management skillsExperience with AWS services preferredExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamExperience working in a startup environment, and familiarity with DTC (Direct-to- Consumer) business models and e-commerce is a plusAbility to find simple solutions to complex problemsExcellent communication skills
