The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, a keen understanding of security protocols, and the ability to design, implement, and maintain secure systems. As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting Government data and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the systems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain security measures for the protection of applications and dataConduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability scans, to identify potential threats and vulnerabilitiesConduct regular security assessments and prioritize findings for remediationLead incident response activities, including forensic analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery. Respond to security incidents and breaches, implementing corrective actionsEducate and train staff on security best practicesConfigure, troubleshoot, and maintain security software and hardwareDevelop, update and assist enforcement of the organization's information security strategy and policies. Educate staff on security protocols and best practicesWork closely with IT teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure secure deployment and maintenance of applications and systems in AWS cloudKeep up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions. Proactively research new security technologies and tools

Required Skills and ExperienceExperience with cloud security and understanding of AWS cloud computing environment. Proficiency in network and system security, application security, and data encryptionPrior experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong understanding of security protocols and best practicesRelevant certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CISM can be beneficialStrong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate security risksAbility to communicate security concepts to non-technical stakeholdersBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field

Preferred Skills and ExperienceKnowledge of ICAM applications and the security architectureProgramming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating tasks and analyzing security dataKnowledge of DevSecOps practices and integration of security into CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability scanning tools, and risk assessment methodologiesStrong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Clearance RequirementsU.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Work LocationUnited States - RemoteCompensationThe salary range for this position is $102,000 - $132,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
