is seeking multiple positions for the role of Senior IP Network Engineer. The successful candidates will manage and enhance our global IP core backbone, ensuring robust and efficient network operations.
This position requires
security clearance
and is based onsite in Honolulu, HI
ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of all routers and switches.Implement routing and switching-related projects.Perform router and switch operating system maintenance and upgrades.Monitor all routers and switches within the network.Manage security and access controls for routers and switches.Maintain firewall rules to ensure network security.Engage in network provisioning, deployment, support, and documentation activities.Focus on moderately difficult tasks using substantial understanding of standard operating procedures.Support the overall team in achieving network reliability and performance goals.Participate in network planning, architecture design, and engineering.Review Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and collaborate cross-functionally on equipment readiness.Perform device installations and onboarding.Conduct research on production network devices to ensure optimal performance.Create and manage tickets and work projects efficiently.Collaborate with Stealth's Field Ops, Business Planning, Risk Management, Security Force, and other internal teams.Assist in the development and documentation of technical standards.Develop and implement approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
QualificationsMust possess an active, transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance before applying and startingMust meet DOD 1322.29 and NAVADMIN 222/15 requirements.Completion of Master’s degree in Computer Networks or military-technical school.13+ years of experience in the telecommunications field and IP networks.Nokia Service Routing Architect Certification.Proficiency with Nokia SROS and SRLinux Operating Systems.In-depth knowledge of Layer-2 and Layer-3 Network Protocols (BGP, MPLS, OSPF, VXLAN, etc.)Working knowledge of network and infrastructure security technologies.Experience with network analysis, capacity planning, and architecture for large distributed communications systems.Skilled in lab testing and network performance evaluation.Automation skills for network management and optimization.Comfortable working with UNIX-based operating systems.Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.Strong ability to communicate technical ideas and concepts.Effective prioritization and ability to manage assigned work in dynamic environments.Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based work assignments.Proficient in presenting to colleagues and clients at all levels.Willingness to perform off-hour maintenance activities as required.
