The Server Administrator III role is responsible for playing a crucial role in managing and optimizing our server infrastructure, ensuring high performance, availability, and security. This position involves advanced responsibilities such as implementing complex server solutions, leading projects, and providing strategic input into server architecture and technology adoption.

What you'll do:

Lead the implementation, and optimization of server infrastructure solutions to meet business needs and scalability requirements.Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to plan and execute server-related projects, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.Develop and implement server security policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.Conduct regular performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization of server resources.Lead backup and recovery management, life cycle management, security compliance, InfoSec support, software and hardware upgrades, and other critical server administration tasks.Manage and support advanced server environments including virtualization platforms, cloud services, containerization technologies including Microsoft 365 environments.Lead Active Directory and Entra ID administration efforts, implementing advanced group policies and identity management solutions.Lead incident response and resolution for server-related issues, including root cause analysis and preventative actions.Evaluate emerging server technologies and make recommendations to management for adoption based on business requirements and industry trends.Document server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and training purposes.What You'll Bring: You'll like this position if you have...

5+ years of progressive experience in server administration, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex server environments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study.Advanced proficiency in designing and implementing server solutions using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, or Azure.Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent certifications are a plus.Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and server performance optimization techniques.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex server issues.Effective project management skills, with experience leading server projects from planning through implementation.Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
