Your role in helping us shape the future:
U.S. News & World Report is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join the data warehouse team. By specializing in data modeling and data transformation within BigQuery, you will help build our large-scale data platform for reporting and analysis. You will work with a variety of ingested data sources to clean, transform and join together. The resulting data structures will be optimized for analytics and other activations. Reporting, visualizations, advanced analytics, and outbound integrations will be built on top of the transformed data.

You should definitely have:
5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on architectureBachelor's degree with STEM disciplineAbility to write advanced SQL for both ETL transformations and reportingExpertise in data modeling techniques like dimensional modelingUnderstanding of ETL / ELT concepts and exposure to a range of data pipeline toolsExperience working with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery (strongly preferred), Snowflake, or RedshiftKnowledge of data governance and data quality best practicesIt would be nice if you had:
Background in data analysis and reportingExperience with dbt and AirflowExperience with Looker or Looker Studio.Experience with scripting languages such as R or Python for data engineering tasksKnowledge of Amazon Web Services and RedshiftWhat it's like to work with us:
