Job Description
The selected candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to provide video teleconferencing, implementation and maintenance support of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) initiatives for a government agency. Provide management and oversight to audio visual integrators/partners and employees on video teleconferencing projects. Provide leadership on new/upgraded video teleconferencing projects in the areas of project design and engineering. Provide engineering and technical input to create, maintain, and implement video engineering standards. This position requires the following functions to be performed as needed: designing, engineering, installation, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, supporting conferences, and monitoring.
Will comply with all DoD guidance and policies in VTC project engineering and design, with regard to the installation, configuration, and management of Cisco IP systems to perform real time conference scheduling, bridge management, and connectivity support for a global IP and ISDN video teleconferencing network. Will configure and test new technology to enhance the current systems and pioneer technology for new systems. May serve as team lead or assist team lead for the management of tasks.
This position is located in Washington, DC. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Washington DC or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and at least 11 years of related experienceCurrent Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificationCurrent Security + certificationExperience with Cisco/Tandberg MCUs, Video Communications Server, ISDN Gatekeeper, and endpoint productsExperience with larger enterprise IP networks and related networking equipmentKnowledge of unicast and multicast video trafficKnowledge of DoD policies and procedures with regard to the installation, configuration, and management of Cisco VTC Systems to perform real time conference scheduling, bridge management, and connectivity support for a global IP and ISDN video teleconferencing networkThorough understanding of network technologies (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Switches) and protocols (IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, PIM, STP, ERPS)Ability to provide technical and operational guidance for DoD customers in establishing and operating video teleconferencing systemsAbility to thrive in a high OPTEMPO environment and handle requirements on a daily basisExperience with Wide Area Networks, IP networks, and BoIPRouting and switching experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
