Pharmaceutical Training + Communications

We are searching for an entry-level or mid-level copy editor/proofreader with a sharp eye, to edit and proofread medical and scientific content at an industry-leading pharmaceutical training and communications agency, full time.

Do you have a love of reading? Are you a natural at finding errors? Are you very, very detail-oriented? Can you recognize inconsistencies in language, formatting, and design elements? ABOUT YOU

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Come join us as a Medical Editor and work within a multifunctional account team to review, edit, and proofread multimedia projects developed from statistical data, medical information, clinical studies, and market research, for example:

Medical and Pharmaceutical Product eLearning Modules

Training Workshops + Materials

Medical Presentations

Video and Podcast Scripts

Clinical Study Backgrounders

Website Copy

Brand Promotional Materials + Sales Tools

Position offers competitive pay with benefits, based on experience and qualifications. Salary range: $50k-$65k.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We seek highly motivated individuals who can bring intellectual curiosity, determination, and a keen eye for detail to our client work.

Education + Experience

Bachelor’s degree required (English, Journalism, or a similar field is preferred)

Familiarity with the use of internal and/or external style guides (preferably AMA)

Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and Web research

Minimum 1-2 years of experience proofreading and/or copyediting in an agency, scientific journal, or health care setting is preferred

Skills + Knowledge

Excellent knowledge of grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation

Ability to edit for clarity, consistency, and tone

Exacting attention to detail and factual accuracy

Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Superior organizational and coordination skills

Familiarity with and/or interest in medical/scientific terminology, statistics, and data analysis

Capacity to review, fact-check, and reference-check medical and scientific text

Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects with competing deadlines

Great time management skills

Detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate, in a digital-only, multiscreen environment
