NETWORK ENGINEER I IROLEKaimetrix is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer II to join our team at Fort Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, implementation, and optimization, with a focus on ensuring performance, reliability, and security. The Network Engineer I will provide engineering support for assigned and deployed INSCOM, G-7 systems, and will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining network systems, troubleshooting network issues, and implementing network security measures.
We will support INSCOM's mission by delivering products and services that enhance readiness and sustain Soldiers, Civilians, systems, and facilities. Key support activities include Program/Project Management, Network Engineering, Data Visualization, Cloud Engineering, System/Program Administration, Operations Research/Systems Analysis, Data Platform Analysis, System Evaluation, Test/Data Engineering, Full Stack/System/DevOps Engineering, System Engineering, and Distributed Processing, and Exploitation and Dissemination - Converged Infrastructure (DPED-CI).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Network Design and Implementation:Design, configure, and maintain physical and virtual network systems.Implement and optimize network infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.Provide network design, configuration, and performance support to System Evaluators and Test Engineers for planned and scheduled events.
Troubleshooting and Support:Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and ensure network infrastructure meets organizational needs and objectives.Provide engineering support for INSCOM, G-7 systems.
Network Security:Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.Ensure compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community security policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN.Experience with networking hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.Strong background in network design, implementation, and optimization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to obtain and maintain access to NSA facilities and computer systems throughout the duration of the contract.Current DoD Baseline Certification at IAT Level II or Higher.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (technology preferred) with 5 years of experience, or 7 years of experience in network administration..LOCATION
