Job Description
The Manager of IT Infrastructure and User Support is responsible for overseeing the company's IT infrastructure and ensuring the delivery of high-quality user support services. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, maintaining and upgrading IT systems, and ensuring the security and efficiency of the company's technology operations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers. Meraki experience preferred.Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems.Coordinate network activities (cabling, performance) for multiple physical locations across North America.
User Support:
Lead the IT support team to provide timely and effective technical support to all users.Develop and implement user support policies and procedures.Monitor and analyze support requests to identify trends and areas for improvement including tracking and reporting of help desk KPIs.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and mentor IT staff for Infrastructure and User Support functions.Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Project Management:
Plan and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Coordinate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Security and Compliance:
Work with the company's cyber security team to ensure the IT infrastructure is secure and compliant with relevant regulations.Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and user support roles, with at least 1 year in a managerial position.Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and tools.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Meraki equipment, SD-WAN, Windows Operating Systems and Azure.Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.Working Conditions:
Full-time position.May require occasional evening or weekend work.On-call availability for emergencies.
