Job Description
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Specialized Cloud Programs team plays a pivotal role in delivering large-scale cross-organization projects that span engineering, product, and business teams. As our portfolio of regions continues to grow, this function will help scale our business through automation, collating critical data, application integration, and other internal tool development efforts.
You will partner with cross-functional business stakeholders to learn about existing challenges and influence the vision and direction of internal applications. Successful candidates for this role will be an experienced software developer, innately curious, and able to thrive in a culture where ambiguity is the order of the day.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer on the OCI Specialized Cloud Programs Solutions team you will be responsible for developing new applications and enhancements using Oracle Application Express (APEX) to drive efficiencies, visibility, and improve process workflows. As a member of a small development team, you will have the opportunity to execute the entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI/CD and production operations and take ownership of multiple, diverse projects. You will partner with product team, learn about the existing challenges, and influence the vision and direction. In this role, you will be working with a non-technical stakeholder, so the ability to communicate and explain technical concepts in simple and easy to understand terms is critical.
You will be responsible for:
Designing, building, and supporting web applications primarily using the Oracle APEX toolset.
Working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create technical design specifications for new development.
Performing testing, debugging, change control functions and application support.
Optimizing existing applications and scripts for both usability and performance.
Authoring clear and concise documentation of system builds and application configurations.
Following best practices to evaluate new features and technologies, and implement changes.
Collaborating on planning and identifying product and project dependencies and risks.
Leading, driving best practices, excellence, and improvements within the team
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of full stack software development experience
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience
Experience developing Microservices architectures and restful web services
Hands-on experience building and maintaining applications using React with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Strong working experience on GitHub/Bitbucket
Hands-on experience building and operating tools and dashboards with large data pipelines
Experience working on proof-of-concept work, and command line tools
Experience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers through the entire launch process
Preferred qualifications:
Relational database concepts, data modeling, and SQL proficiency
Apex 21+ and PL/SQL with Oracle database experience a plus
Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
Understanding of key performance indicators and how to measure them
Experience and understanding of OCI Cloud platform especially dedicated and multi-cloud solutions.
Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules
Experience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or features

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
