ResponsibilitiesSetup and configuration of complex network environments
Establish and maintain networking environment by implementing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
Maximize network performance through proactive monitoring; troubleshooting network problems and outages; plan, document, and schedule upgrades and changes to network infrastructure; collaborates with network architects on network optimization, design, and implementation
Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (Security , IP Routing, VPN, etc.)
Maintain multi-site network operations and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
Understand network security protocols and make security-focused improvements efficiently and effectively
Focus for this role will be on wireless configuration
Role is based and onsite in Overland Park, KS.
QualificationsRequired
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience in designing, managing and/or assessing complex IT infrastructure
Knowledge of infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancing and networks
Cisco Meraki experience
Preferred
Experience in Data Center network design and support
Palo Alto is preferred
Current network certifications such as CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Core Infrastructure, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Routing and Switching or Cisco Certified Network Professional Level (CCNP) - Routing and Switching
