Washington, DC.Network Engineer (AV/IT Support)
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Hybrid workplace supportCoordinate and assist with AV/IT equipment setup, breakdown, testing and operation of equipment for various hybrid events (virtual & onsite).Meeting and coordinating with departments, hosts, and clients regarding technology needs and support for upcoming meetings/events. Specifically coordinating compatibility tests, dry runs, etc. for upcoming events.Ensure AV/IT service quality during meeting through extensive testing prior to meetings, troubleshooting, adjusting video and audio levels, recording, and providing in-meeting support for high-profile internal and external meetings/events.Provide second level support to the AV/IT collaboration team, troubleshoot videoconference configuration, collaboration applications, virtual meetings, and conferencing quality issues.Provides remote AV/IT support to staff, utilizing technologies such as Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc.Conduct staff training on the use of new and existing AV/IT technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related disciplines (or equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and technical certifications).Minimum of 3+ years of related AV/IT experience required, including hardware and software troubleshooting skills; experience with Crestron, Polycom equipment, and Microsoft Teams rooms systems and experience with virtual collaboration platforms such as Teams, WebEx, Zoom, and their various functionality.
Desirable:CCNA Certification, ITIL Certification, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, and Microsoft Certifications.Experience in desktop operating systems - Mac and Windows operating systems.Work may involve lifting, prolonged standing, and walking.
Skills and ExperienceStrong customer service skills and a high level of professionalism.Very strong oral communication skills, good judgment, and discretion.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to support IT components (Client & Mobile Hardware / Software), Windows, Android, and Office 365.Experience of SIP, VoIP, H.323, and other similar network technology protocols from a hardware and network standpoint.
