Web and Digital Media Specialist
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required, or other equivalent experience in public relations, mass communications, journalism, graphic design, etc.
Qualification Credentials:
Experience in public relations, journalism, communications, or related fields.
Preferred Knowledge, Skill, or Ability:? AP Writing style? Experience in digital content development, communications, and marketing.? Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Apple products, Googleproducts, Google Analytics Canva, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, and related software? Finalsite CMS or another website CMS? Experience with digital marketing, and should be proficient in web, social media, and GoogleAnalytics.? Digital video and photography equipment
Job Responsibilities:? Assist the Head of Communications in implementing internal and external communication strategiesfor Piedmont Schools.? Proficiently handle graphic design, photography, and videography tasks.? Produce clear and compelling content, utilizing excellent writing, research, copywriting,editing, and grammar skills, often under tight deadlines.? Recommend and execute digital marketing strategies, creating engaging content and assets.? Provide creative ideas and production support across district teams, fostering a collaborativeenvironment.? Contribute to the planning and execution of the Piedmont School District marketing andcommunications plan.? Safeguard the Piedmont Schools logo and brand, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.? Conduct audits of the district website and school pages for ADA compliance, active links, andcontent relevance.? Create diverse content for social media and the district website, including written copy,videos, and photos.
? Collaborate with departments to distribute timely information for recruitment, retention, andspecial events.? Stay up-to-date on new communication tools and technologies, including Finalsite CMS, GoogleAnalytics, and social media analytics.? Analyze and adjust content based on analytics from social media, website, and video channels.? Update annual online data and reports as required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.? Support promotional campaigns with creative and production assistance.? Maintain a comprehensive social media calendar to engage district audiences effectively.? Expand the district's media library by capturing photos and videos of students in schoolsettings.? Design graphics tailored for social media platforms and the district website.? Provide videography and photography support for school-site events.? Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
