Overview
ISHPI is currently seeking a Help Desk Specialist (1st shift) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals serving the United States Coast Guard IMS program in St. Louis, MO. Qualified applicants will provide tier 1 enterprise engineering, operations, and maintenance support services in both unclassified and classified elements of the computing environment. Applicants will work through a modernization and consolidation of the operational environment under a common technology framework to better support the services provided to the United States Coast Guard.Responsibilities
Provide tier 1 Remote Support, Desktop Support and Field Technician Support.
Troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Windows Operating Systems.Utilize Role Based Access Control (RBAC) to determine an end user's authorized network access.Coordinate Hardware delivery, maintenance, installations, and upgradesPerformed software installations and remediation to ensure application reliabilityResponsible for account management (password reset, account maintenance)Create email accounts, change status in Active DirectoryMonitor, manage, and secure employees' mobile deviceUser support for network and desktop hardware and software complication and trainingDiagnose IT and network problems, and recommend and/or implement solutionsImplemented Virtual Desktop infrastructure allowing virtual desktop managementQualifications
HS Diploma or GED or 3 years of relevant experienceComfortable working in and assisting clients through service desk software, in addition to other remote access desktop programsExperience working with various Microsoft Windows operating systemsProfessional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with ClientsExperience installing and configuring computer systems and applicationsPreferred Qualifications:1+ years of proven experience in a heavy customer focus position involving and technical knowledge and servicesITIL foundation certification or familiarity with ITIL methodologies and best practicesTime-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolutionIndustry-specific certification may be requiredSecurity Clearance:
Requires U.S. Citizenship and must have an active government security clearance.
