Description :Network Engineer - IV will work with IP tool System Engineering Team for companywide IPv4/IPv6 blocks synchronization with production networks. The Network Engineer will also provide Tier 4 IPv4/IPv6 addressing support for IPv4/IPv6 unicast/multicast address request and issue escalation from various LoB (Line of Business), Data/Voice/Video, enterprise

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Help define best practices of manage IPv4 and IPv6 address allocation and consumptionWork with various technical teams (CBO, DOCSIS, NDC/RDC, and etc.) responsible for network migration, capacity augmentation, network integration, and IP Operations team members to make sure container hierarchy and IP blocks in IP tools are in sync with changing and very dynamic production networksProvides tier support across different verticals in NetOps organizationsWorking with IPControl System Engineering team to define container hierarchy, block types, populate IP blocks in logical and/or device containers via IPC configuration, policy setting, and/or router subnet discovery on IP blocksDevelop scripts/programs to Client IP blocks (both static and dynamic) and other information in known and migrating networksLead IP tool system integration with OSS/BSS such as CNR, Granite, and Multicast Manager.Streamlining IP management functions to enable better IP utilization.Develop scripts and software tools for IPv4 and IPv6 data analysisProvides IP request and/or reclaim tier support across different lines of business (DOCSIS, Commercial Business, Video, Voice, WiFi, Data Center etc.)Will work on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding IP assignments, planning, configuration and optimizationActively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the experience of stake holders who need IP addresses to run business and/or grow customer baseRepresents the Engineering Department working closely with Architects and Engineers in designing, modeling, and implementing new technologies.Knows, understands and follows company policy. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent work experienceMinimum Five (5) years of network and system engineering experienceADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Familiar with TCP/IPv4 and IPv6 protocolsExperienced in OSS (Operation Support System) and/or BSS (Business Support System)Knowledge of telecommunication and/or cable operator's products and servicesProficient in LINUX or PythonAbility to effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, vendors, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional mannerPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Juniper Network Certified Specialist (JNCIS or JNCIP)
