The Penn State College of Education at University Park is seeking a Director of Recruitment and Student Engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Represent the College of Education at recruitment events both in-person and virtuallyParticipate in and coordinate panels, information sessions, and workshops to educate prospective applicants about the college and the admissions processAct as the primary point of contact for all prospective studentsConduct and coordinate visits to the College and informational meetings with prospective and admitted students and their familiesDevelop and foster relationships with student organizations, The Advising and Certification Center, the Office of Education and Social Equity, and other college and university officesParticipate and contribute to diversity conferences, events, and the Summer College Opportunity Program in Education (S.C.O.P.E.)Contribute to the college's social media efforts and develop communication plans for prospective and admitted studentsMay develop and manage a budget and supervise student workersWill co-advise the College's special living option, Education House, and Education Student CouncilComplete other duties and responsibilities as assignedThis role reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate and Graduate Students. This is not a remote position and requires regular in-office work: some evenings and weekend hours are required.
Qualifications include:
A positive, can-do attitudeBachelor's degree or higher plus three year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in undergraduate admissions and recruitmentExperience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgroundsStrong organizational skillsExperience in event planningSuperior attention to detailProblem solving skillsSelf-drivenDesire to work in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to work within a team environmentThis position typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.
