Playfly Sports is looking for a Manager, Sales & Service to join our team in New Orleans.

The Manager, Sales & Service serving as the primary liaison between our current fan base and the University of New Orleans Athletics Department, is responsible for renewing and growing all season ticket accounts and generating new business through upselling, cross selling, group sales, and referrals. The Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of ticket sales and ticket office functions, including, but limited to, day-to-day operations of ticket office, policy and procedure development and implementation, ticketing system administration, as well as management, reconciliation and reporting of financials. This position manages the Ticket Operations Graduate Assistant and student workers.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHAssist in recruiting and hiring ticket office and event staff with diversity of age, race and ethnicity, gender, experiences, thinking styles, perspectives etcTrain and supervise ticket office and event staffSell ticketed sports including, but not limited to Men and Women's Basketball, Baseball, and a full menu of productsPerform arena tours, on-site presentations, outbound calls, and service inbound calls for the Athletic Department for all ticketed sports. Inventory available for sale across this location includes, but is not limited to season tickets, renewals, upgrades and add-ons, group tickets, partial/mini-plan ticket packages, single-game tickets and stand-alone donations.Meet or exceed sales goals while providing superior customer serviceGrow sales portfolio continuously by attracting additional business leadsManage and retain large account base of premium seating, season ticket members, and group sales clientsService all existing season ticket members and donorsFacilitate season ticket member upgrades and additional seat requestsMaintain records of all prospects and customers within the ticketing databaseContact local businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season tickets, corporate, partial plans, and group ticket plansThe candidate will be accountable for certain levels of outbound sales activity (executed/scheduled) and daily goalsWork home games and season ticket member events, performing various ticket sales and service duties throughout the gameProvide exceptional customer service to fansPerform sales and relationship cultivation phone calls, text messages, emails etc. with season ticket holders, sponsors, businesses, individuals, groups and prospective buyersService the inbound ticket sales phone line to answer general fan questions and sell ticket packagesUtilize strategic ticketing programs, promotions, and sales strategies to generate season ticket revenueExecute season ticket retention programs and build relationships with assigned season ticket-holdersMonitor, manage and evaluate staff performance on an ongoing basis; establish and communicate clear sales revenue and training goals, follow up with appropriate feedback and direction for developmentLead, motivate, develop and retain ticket office and gameday staffOversee day-to-day and event operations of the ticket office, ensuring compliance with all policies and proceduresManage all aspects of customer service as it relates to both internal and external customers, enforcing customer service program and other corporate initiativesSupervise and maintain accurate financials, accounting records and detailed reporting for ticket sales and income for the athletic ticket office, including reconciliation for all daily reports (e.g., reconciling box office receipts, sales reports and deposits) monthly reports, event settlement, and reconciling with the finance department as requestedManage all accounting functions within department including budget transfers, payroll deductions, refund checks, etc, year-end reconciliation, and coordinates with athletics business office to prepare for yearly NCAA auditsAct as a systems administrator for ticketing system and liaison between staff, promoters, presenters and the facility for applicable venues, etcManage all information being sent and posted through ticketing systemEnsure programming and functionality for university's ticket sales webpageEnsure programming best practice and procedures, season renewals, inventory management, a-z program buildingCreate and building facility manifests for each sport, reconciles game day events, and deposits ticket revenueInvestigate and resolve ticket-related issuesEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, and updates/relays all box-office related event information to each department and clientCollect ticket monies, tracks accounts payable/receivable, follows up on past due invoices, processes payments, enrolls season ticket holders in payment plansCommunicate with the conference on ticket distributions for the visiting team, away games, and post-season eventsServe as department liaison with students, faculty, staff, alumni association, and the general publicAssist development of marketing and promotional activitiesEvaluate sales/marketing/project-related materials and proposed actions, analyzes challenges or consequences, identifies alternative actions/solutions, and implements recommendations in support of organizational objectivesOther job-related duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL BRING

Minimum of 1-3 years of ticket sales experience (in a college athletics setting strongly preferred) with a minimum of 1 year in ticket sales or service, ticketing management, and/or team leader preferredBachelor's Degree preferred but not requiredExperience and working knowledge of ticketing and reporting systems is strongly preferredComputer and Microsoft Office application proficient, with advanced-level Excel skills preferredDetail oriented with strong analytic, administrative and time management skills, as well as the ability to be flexibleDemonstrated problem-solving abilitiesOrganized and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to with quickly develop positive relationshipsAbility to work well with others and comfortable taking initiativeProven ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customersSelf-motivated and energeticWorking knowledge of NCAA rules and regulationsBelief that a culture that encourages collaboration, flexibility, equity and fairness that enables individuals to contribute to their full potential, feel valued, and supported is key to success; personally, professionally and for the companyTRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
