Manager of IT Systems for Imaging Solutions
.POSITION SUMMARYThe primary responsibility of the Manager is to provide direction, day-to-day coordination and HR responsibility to the members of the application team. The Manager will have overarching responsibility for their respective applications' support, design, instruction and ongoing optimization. Further responsibilities include but are not limited to: direct management of analysts, identifying and mitigating project risks, supporting the applications users and assisting in the implementation of all application projects.The Manager will oversee a team of analysts supporting imaging systems, including (but not limited to) PACS, CPACS, vendor neutral archive, enterprise viewer and other diagnostic solutions as assigned.Responsibilities:Analysis & Solution Definition:Work with DDTI leadership team to collect, analyze and document technical, clinical or business operations artifacts and translate problems into solution-oriented initiatives.Responsible for developing and monitoring the development roadmap for the applications in assigned area.Project Execution:Evaluates current state processes and identifies gaps to future state process around application use to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.Communicates and applies project standards.Creates functional working relationships across application teamsAssists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.Consistently delivers high-quality services to business stakeholders.Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project.Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAssists in the facilitation of team and client meetings.Able to independently represent team in operational meetings with corporate or facility leaders.Demonstrates ability to communicate information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner; And displays an ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.Collaborate effectively with colleagues and across teams to achieve goals. Works with leadership to break down silos.Problem Solving:Prioritizes and resolves issues.Provides ongoing analysis, maintenance, and technical and functional support for systems throughout the organization.Provides technical guidance to identify system deficiencies and analyze system problems and solutions.Collaborates with business stakeholders to introduce innovative solutions.Leadership:Responsible for employment related decision making in conjunction with department Director.Responsible for team member performance evaluations, merit and promotion decisionsFacilitates effective team interaction.Provides mentorship to team in areas of application support and leadership development.Celebrates each team member's contributions.Develops and fosters relationships with business stakeholders.Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.Responsible for defining work assignment and workload management for team(s).Escalation point for issue resolution related to area of influenceFinancial:Assists with departmental budget planning and resourcing.Has a general understanding of budget processing and financial planning.Responsible for ensuring staff members follow all travel policies and proceduresGeneral:Participate in after-hours support On-Call rotation.Ability to travel up to 25%.Provide on-site support during go-live or upgrade activations.Able to participate in on-camera discussions using video conferencing platforms such as Teams or ZoomEmbodies and Promotes Core Values: Inquisitiveness, Team-Mindedness, Passionate, and Positive Attitude.Participate in disaster recovery measures.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Education & ExperienceBA/BS degree (equivalent experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis)Minimum of 7 years experience, either in operational or IT applications support for applicable business area.Minimum of 5 years in IT implementing and supporting applications.Established experience with large scale/large projects with team of 5 or more membersExperience developing the following items with Project Management: (1) Standard work breakdown structure; (2) Resources and critical path; (3) Project scope; (4) Issues identification and oversight; (5) Change control processes; and (6) Stakeholder communications'Experience designing and supporting healthcare or business systems and integration with third party applications.Experience with workflow and operations within a hospital or health system.Applicable Epic certification preferred.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProven ability to understand business issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.Strong understanding in the areas of application technology and system design.Understands federal & state regulations pertaining to applicable business area.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong understanding in the areas of application technology, architecture, database and system design.Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and video-conferencing solutions.
