If you're someone with energy, drive, and creativity, AST might be the place for you.Currently, we are looking for a Help Desk/Support Technician to join our corporate office in Lisle (Chicago, IL). You will play an integral role within our Information Technology team and will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, with opportunities to grow and advance professionally. The successful candidate must reside local to the office. This is a full-time/permanent and hybrid role that requires the flexibility of working a combination of in office and remotely.What You will do: Respond to IT support requests from employees via ticketing, phone, email, or in-person. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications. Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and permissions. Provide training and guidance to employees on the use of IT systems and software. Document and track support requests and resolutions in the help desk system. Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and implement improvements.What you bring: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent 2 years industry experience. Proven experience as an IT Help Desk Technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Customer-oriented with a focus on providing excellent service. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, network+, or equivalent is an advantage. This position is onsite in Lisle IL, with select days for a remote option This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address urgent issues or perform system maintenance.
