Job DescriptionOur client is looking for an Applications Engineer to provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex operating systems. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
Work in collaboration with field sales in actively pursuing targeted industries opportunities and accounts by using internal selection tools.Collaborate efforts with component vendors to integrate Sumitomo Products, into designed prepared packages, to offer to specific industry targets.Perform cost analysis of new inquiries and quotations between SHI and SMA sales force.Review customer inquiries and project requirements to establish scope of supply limits and costingDevelop detailed comments to client project specificationsAssist in the evaluation of non-standard product requests, applications, and capabilitiesWork with Sales, Customers and Vendors to obtain project specific information and develop project equipment applicationsPrepare technical data to internal and external customersDocument and communicate results of technical data generatedAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with one to two (1-2) years' experience in the rotating equipment industry.Basic knowledge in Project Management Body of KnowledgeBasic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma CI best practices, White belt levelAny additional essential skills and/or knowledge as shown in the HRIS Career & Education > Skills section for incumbents holding this job title.
