Overview:

Are you a seasoned IT professional with a passion for leadership and innovation? Barton Associates is looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager of Desktop Engineering and Application Support to spearhead our IT support team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a talented group of 4-6 desktop engineers and application support specialists, ensuring seamless user experiences across our organization. You will be at the forefront of managing our help desk user support function and will take ownership of our desktop and application infrastructure, driving excellence and efficiency in every aspect. Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4-6 desktop engineers and application support specialists Establish performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback Cultivate an environment that emphasizes continuous improvement, exemplary customer service, and technical excellence Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of desktop infrastructure Manage inventory for desktop hardware, software licenses, and support tools and perform regular audits Develop and enforce standardization policies for desktop hardware and software and ensure timely imaging and reimaging of workstations is performed Deploy and maintain System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for efficient device management Provide and manage help desk support for both SaaS and proprietary applications ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues Ensure high availability and performance of all supported applications Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex application issues Develop and maintain knowledge bases and support documentation Implement and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) for support requests Analyze help desk metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs Develop strategies to enhance user satisfaction and engagement with IT services Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 5+ years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years in a team lead role Strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and SCCM Experience with SaaS application support and management Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT service management best practices Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills MCSE, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are a plus Required Skills Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Windows desktop management, SCCM, Google Workspace, and application support Leadership: Ability to motivate and guide a team of technical professionals Project Management: Experience in planning and executing IT projects Customer Service: Strong focus on user satisfaction and service quality Analytical Thinking: Capability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
