Job Title: Java Developer with Oracle Coherence, Grid Gain, and Redis

Location: Whippany, NJ

Job Overview:

Seeking a skilled Java Developer/Software Engineer to join our team in Whippany, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and distributed caching systems, specifically Oracle Coherence, Grid Gain, and Redis. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performing Java-based applications, ensuring the stability and reliability of critical customer-facing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.

Review and optimize the existing Oracle Coherence cache setup to improve performance and ensure the stability of USCB customer channels.

Implement and manage Oracle Coherence for distributed caching and data grid solutions.

Optimize Coherence configurations to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Collaborate with architects, product managers, and other developers to design technical solutions that meet business needs.

Debug and resolve software defects and issues, with a focus on distributed systems and caching.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns.

Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to development standards.

Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code reliability and functionality.

Stay updated with emerging technologies, particularly in distributed systems and caching, to continuously improve skills and processes.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Technical Expertise:

Strong expertise in Oracle Coherence caching, including messaging.

Experience with Grid Gain and Redis coherence.

Proficient in Java programming and object-oriented principles (OOP), SOLID design principles, and design patterns.

Knowledge of distributed systems, caching mechanisms, and high-performance computing.

Communication Skills: Spoken English at a basic level or higher.
