Associate Attorney

with

0-2 years of litigation experience

to join their team. The position will focus primarily on

commercial litigation

cases, but the attorney will also have opportunities to work on

personal injury

and

contingency cases . The role offers involvement at all levels of litigation, from research and document review to trying cases, providing valuable hands-on experience and professional growth.Job Responsibilities:

Assist in

commercial litigation

cases, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing for trial.Work on

personal injury

and

contingency cases , supporting senior attorneys in all stages of litigation.Conduct

legal research

and draft documents such as

motions ,

briefs ,

discovery requests , and

responses .Participate in

document review

and

evidence analysis , ensuring thorough preparation for litigation.Assist in

trial preparation , including drafting trial documents, organizing exhibits, and preparing witnesses.Attend

court hearings ,

depositions , and

mediations , representing clients under the supervision of senior attorneys.Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals to manage case files and ensure deadlines are met.Engage with clients to discuss case strategy, progress, and next steps.Assist in

case strategy development , providing input based on research and analysis.Gain experience in

trial advocacy , with opportunities to participate in trials and handle smaller cases independently.Requirements:

0-2 years of litigation experience

in any practice area, with a focus on commercial litigation preferred.Strong

legal research

and

writing skills , with the ability to analyze and present complex legal arguments effectively.Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and the court.Organizational skills

and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Strong interest in gaining hands-on experience across various stages of litigation, from research to trial work.Education:

Juris Doctor (JD)

degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the

Utah State Bar

or eligibility to obtain admission.Certifications (Preferred):

Certification or coursework in

trial advocacy

or

litigation

is beneficial but not required.Key Skills:

Litigation experience

in commercial law or related areas.Proficiency in

legal research , drafting legal documents, and preparing for trial.Strong

client communication

skills and ability to build rapport.Trial advocacy
