:The Office of Admissions is a dynamic team working together to recruit new students to Montana State University Billings. The Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruiting students for both

MSU

Billings University and City College campuses including high school graduates, transfer students and adult learners. Additionally, New Student Specialists assist with questions pertaining to general campus information through face-to-face, virtual, phone, text, and email to support those seeking information about attending

MSUB . This position supports the division by providing quality customer service and supporting students from their first inquiry through enrollment.

Admissions Counselors provides outstanding customer service to students and their families and are cross trained in MSUB’s degree and certificated programs and is an integral part of the

MSUB

Community. Training, professional development, and opportunities to serve on various campus committees and initiatives are an integral part of the position.

Under supervision from the Associate Director of Admissions, Recruitment, this individual:Travels (out of state and within Montana) representing

MSUB

to visit with prospective students about University and City College programs and opportunitiesEstablishes and maintains relationship with high school and college personnelPerforms necessary data entry and research analysis associated with Banner, Tableau, recruitment

CRM , and other campus softwareCoordinates and conducts prospective students’ visits and tours to the UniversityEducates prospective students on the enrollment and matriculation processAssists with on-campus and off campus recruitment programsParticipates in campus and community marketing effortsAssists with Campus Events (i.e.: Preview Days, Orientations, Registration events, and other recruitment/outreach events)Works with the Admissions Team to set recruitment goals and outcomesManages assigned recruitment territoriesRefers students to campus and community resources as needed to address barriersCollaborates with academic departments, professional and faculty advisors, the advising center, admissions, financial aid, and all

student support services and campus programs for all five colleges

This position also involves physical demands associated with lifting recruitment bags and travel luggage with or without help, in addition to bending, climbing stairs, walking, and operating motorized vehicles during travel seasons

Willingness to travel extensively by both airplane and automobile. The typical heavy travel season is typically September through January, and March through Mid-May

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & SkillsEducation Require d:Bachelor’s degree and/or related experience in a higher education setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
