Material Handler

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures accurate material identification, labeling and storage in appropriate warehouse locations
• Responds to material requests in a timely fashion, including the monitoring of calls via handheld radio
• Correctly route items, materials, parts and products to appropriate department locations and warehouse locations
• Safe operation of tools and equipment including but not limited to scanners, scales, forklifts (stand up and sit-down forklifts) and pallet jacks
• Ensure all WIP material (bins and in-process) for production associates, assembly line, or automation cell is maintained to required levels for steady production flow. Including delivery of materials to department
• Reporting of material discrepancies and/or shortages in warehouse to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure Kanban boards and totes are maintained and in appropriate location
• Movement of finished goods and product to shipping
• Use of necessary applications (EPICOR)
• Assists Receiving Clerk(s) with staging, loading, and unloading of deliveries and other duties as necessary
• Ensure damaged inventory is identified and reported to appropriate personnel
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment within the internal warehouse and other work areas
• Conduct routine cycle counts of inventory items to ensure accuracy and integrity of stock levels
• Perform other duties as assigned
