Material Handler

Duties/Responsibilities:Ensures accurate material identification, labeling and storage in appropriate warehouse locationsResponds to material requests in a timely fashion, including the monitoring of calls via handheld radioCorrectly route items, materials, parts and products to appropriate department locations and warehouse locationsSafe operation of tools and equipment including but not limited to scanners, scales, forklifts (stand up and sit-down forklifts) and pallet jacksEnsure all WIP material (bins and in-process) for production associates, assembly line, or automation cell is maintained to required levels for steady production flow. Including delivery of materials to departmentReporting of material discrepancies and/or shortages in warehouse to appropriate personnel.Ensure Kanban boards and totes are maintained and in appropriate locationMovement of finished goods and product to shippingUse of necessary applications (EPICOR)Assists Receiving Clerk(s) with staging, loading, and unloading of deliveries and other duties as necessaryEnsure damaged inventory is identified and reported to appropriate personnelMaintains a safe and clean work environment within the internal warehouse and other work areasConduct routine cycle counts of inventory items to ensure accuracy and integrity of stock levelsPerform other duties as assigned
