Do it here.As part of the Leadership team, the Director of Connected Experiences is the thought leader around three key practice areas, Verizon's Secure Intelligent Communications, Anywhere Workplace Solutions, and Digital CX Solutions. In this role, the Director leads a team of highly skilled managers and sales specialists to set the strategic direction for the practice areas along with managing the tactical day-to-day sales results. The Director will develop business solutions for customers while leading and managing all sales functions in the GE Americas segments they are aligned to with the goal of meeting and exceeding all business metrics/objectives, including revenue, sales, and SG&A. The key strategic priority for the Director is to maximize revenue growth through the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of sales, marketing, service programs, and new logo growth initiatives.The successful candidate will be a passionate and proactive visionary in driving operational readiness and strategic business initiatives to exceed objectives. The candidate must have a proven successful track record with exceeding targets in our emerging technology space. The Director must be a strong leader, extremely well-organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and quality-minded. They must be able to identify process improvements in reporting, analytics, forecasting, and performance metrics. They will develop, direct, and analyze programs and retention strategies for maximum customer satisfaction and sales growth. A successful Director will support the vision and direction of Verizon's Americas Sales Leaders.The Director will:Align daily sales activity to the Verizon CredoMaintain accurate forecast metrics and reportingDirect, coach, and mentor sales leaders and teams to meet/exceed key performance metricsMeasure effectiveness of sales leaders and team's customer engagement, relationship development, and solution expertiseAdopt and measure sales teams and opportunity funnels with Verizon Velocity Selling.Matrix manage all stakeholders, including Marketing and Product management, to align to consistent strategy and execution worldwidePartner closely with core sales leaders to identify, develop, and close additional opportunities at existing enterprise clients & work with each sales team to close large dealsIdentify all the key influencers and present the Verizon value proposition to executive-level clientsHelp sales teams Identify and overcome business and technical barriers to saleDeeply engage in deal creation, deal financials and deal execution strategies that will drive new logo growth.Build and retain strong relationships within partner ecosystemYou'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experienceSix or more years of relevant work experience6+ years sales experience with Enterprise Customers, with emphasis in Advanced Communications, SAAS, and/or IT spaceProven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projectsAbility to lead in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholdersTrack record of exceeding sales revenueSuccessful sales management experience leading a multi-departmental team setup to meet specific customer requirementsExperience with solution selling to C-level Executives in the Fortune 500 and Global market, with emphasis on digital technologies and advanced voice communications.Strong business acumen and business financial analysis skillsExcellent project management, team leadership, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of corporate business strategy, Wireline/Wireless technology, market, and industry trendsPrevious experience working directly with senior executivesEven better if you have one or more of the following:Broad industry knowledgeStrong analytical skills, with successful experience in securing and analyzing large volumes of data to make recommendations toward achieving specific operational goalsExtensive computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, and GoogleAbility to work under pressure of tight timelines; detail-orientedMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to strong analytical skillsAbility to interact at the most senior levels internal and external to VerizonAbility to communicate knowledge and expertise to provide insight and direction to the businessMotivate and lead managersAbility to coach, mentor, and train others within Verizon and have the ability to educate key stakeholders on the benefits of a proposed approachProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure cohesive efforts toward a shared goalPublic speaking and market presencePresentation skills for executive level management, public groups, etc.Self-motivated, resilient, can-do attitude to overcome obstacles and find resolution in sometimes difficult conditionsWorking extensively with partners both internal and external to Verizon in order to deliver solutions to customersProven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projectsAbility to travelThis role can be located in other valid Verizon locations.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.BenefitsOur benefits are designed to help you move forward in your career, and in areas of your life outside of Verizon.
