Excellent Infectious Disease Physician Opportunity in Prescott, AZ (90 minutes from downtown Phoenix, AZ)Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Group is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician to join our established practice in Prescott, AZ.This role is a solo provider practice who works closely with hospitalists, wound care center, and infusion center, with support from 1 MA and 1 receptionist. The patient population consists of adults only, most patients are over age 50 due to the demographics of Prescott and surrounding areas. The most common conditions treated include infected joints, diabetic foot infections, Pulmonary MAC, and some bacteremia/endocarditis. Responsibilities

This role involves 8 hours a week at the wound care center and consults on those patients when the nurses change their dressings. Sees 20-30 patients at the wound care center a week.Outpatient: 30-40 office patients a week, with the provider currently spending 3-4 hours in clinic every day.Inpatient: 2-16 ID inpatients at a time. Provider goes to both hospital campuses to consult.Consults: Provides 4-10 inpatient consults on less busy office days (Tues, Thurs, Fri).Typical week: 40-50 hours, with 18 hours a week seeing outpatients, 8 hours a week at the wound care clinic, and 10-12 hours seeing inpatients.Procedures: Wound care/dressing changes but no cutting, puncturing, or aspirations.Call: Involves answering the phone and assisting with questions from hospitalists, with up to 8-9 calls a day.Additional: The most important role is transitioning patients from inpatient to outpatient and helping maintain their medications, labs, infusions, and wound care.

BC/BE in Infectious Disease/Internal MedicineStrong communication and interpersonal skillsValid state medical license or eligible to obtain as an MD or DOValid DEA certificateNew graduates considered

Pay Range:
