Excellent Infectious Disease Physician Opportunity in Prescott, AZ (90 minutes from downtown Phoenix, AZ)Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Group is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician to join our established practice in Prescott, AZ.This role is a solo provider practice who works closely with hospitalists, wound care center, and infusion center, with support from 1 MA and 1 receptionist. The patient population consists of adults, most over age 50 due to the demographics of Prescott and surrounding areas. Common conditions treated include infected joints, diabetic foot infections, Pulmonary MAC, and some bacteremia/endocarditis. Enjoy a robust outdoor lifestyle and explore a town rich in history.Rich in history and charm, Prescott’s many historic buildings, museums, state parks, and sites offer a wide array of experiences.Locally owned and award-winning restaurants, bistros, and cafés.Charming shops and boutiques appealing to a wide variety of tastes.Festivals and entertainment throughout the year.Home to wineries and tasting rooms.Closest metro area is Phoenix (99 miles) with a population of 1.6 million.A 4-season climate with low humidity and plenty of sunshine.ResponsibilitiesThis role involves 8 hours a week at the wound care center, seeing 20-30 patients weekly.Outpatient: 30-40 office patients a week, spending 3-4 hours in clinic daily.Inpatient: 2-16 ID inpatients at a time; provider consults at both hospital campuses.Consults: Provides 4-10 inpatient consults on less busy office days (Tues, Thurs, Fri).Typical week: 40 - 50 hours, with 18 hours seeing outpatients, 8 hours at the wound care clinic, and 10-12 hours seeing inpatients.Procedures: Wound care/dressing changes; no cutting, puncturing, or aspirations.Call: Assisting hospitalists with questions, receiving up to 8/9 calls daily.Additional: Transitioning patients from inpatient to outpatient care and helping maintain their meds/labs/infusions/wound care.QualificationsBC/BE in Infectious Disease/Internal MedicineStrong communication and interpersonal skillsValid state medical license or eligible to obtain as an MD or DOValid DEA certificateNew graduates consideredPay Range$141.34 - $118.34/hour
