We're hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic and expanding program. This NP position is based in our outpatient infusion center and clinic and will collaborate in the care of patients being evaluated, diagnosed, and treated for hematologic malignancies as well as those undergoing cellular therapies.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Nurse Practitioner I
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in hematology oncology specialty as RNFlexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locationsDemonstrated competence in the following areas: clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, leadership, problem identification/resolution, and teachingNurse Practitioner II
Minimum of two (2) years experience in hematology oncology specialty as a NP and/or completion of an APP Oncology Fellowship within the last yearFlexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locationsDemonstrated competence in the following areas: clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, leadership, problem identification/resolution, and teachingPreferred Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year of experience as NP in an academic medical center working with hematology oncology patientsTwo (2) years of RN experience in adult hematology/BMT and completion of an APP Oncology Fellowship within the last yearLicense/Certification
California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.Accepted Certifications for this position: AGNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPCCurrent and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.Current AHA BLS.State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.About UCSF
