Have community ties and relationships with referring hospitals.
SOME TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.
JOB DUTIES:
Answer referrals in a timely manner.
Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility.
Market the facility to referral sources to gain new business.
Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
Recruit and credential new physicians to the facility.
Complete all admission paperwork for new admissions in a timely manner.
Ensure facility has all required paperwork for admission.
Verify payer sources and ensure referral is clinically approved prior to admission.
Receive and coordinate investigation/follow through of concerns, complaints received and communicate this information with the Administrator.
Communicate effectively and consistently with the Administrator and take directions from the Administrator.
Ensure resident, visitor, and employee concerns are resolved in a timely manner and communicated to the person who originated the concern.
Meet with members of community organizations.
Promote good public relations within the community.
Obtain copies of insurance cards and OBRA screens for every admission.
