A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Product Design and User Interface Patent Agent to join its intellectual property team. This individual will work on cutting-edge technologies, supporting patent preparation and prosecution activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and relevant legal experience, with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies such as software, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.Provide legal counsel on patentability, infringement, and validity issues.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and clients to understand technical details and develop patent strategies.Conduct prior art searches and analyze results to determine patent viability.Handle patent portfolio management for various clients, ensuring alignment with business goals.Engage with clients to provide updates on the status of ongoing patent cases and discuss prosecution strategies.Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and changes in patent law that may impact ongoing cases or strategies.Review technical literature and industry standards to assist with legal research and patentability opinions.Participate in client meetings, offering expert guidance on patent protection and risk management in emerging technology fields.Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and guidelines during patent preparation and prosecution processes.Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.Requirements:

2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience, preferably in a law firm or related industry setting.Strong academic background with high academic achievement.Experience in software-related technologies, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), networking, or quantum technologies.Proven ability to work on complex patent cases involving advanced technologies.Exceptional writing and communication skills for drafting legal documents and client interactions.Preferred Skills:
