A law firm is seeking a highly qualified Junior To Mid-Level Product Design And User Interface Patent Associate Attorney to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in patent preparation, prosecution, and product design, with specialized knowledge in cutting-edge technologies such as software, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), networking, and quantum technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of intellectually stimulating legal matters in the technology sector, with a focus on intellectual property (IP) rights and patent law.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, draft, and prosecute patent applications in the fields of software, AI, IoT, networking, and quantum technologies.Conduct patentability studies, freedom-to-operate analyses, and due diligence investigations for clients.Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and product designers to develop comprehensive IP protection strategies for innovative technologies.Provide strategic counsel on IP portfolio development and management to align with the business objectives of clients.Represent clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and in other patent-related legal matters.Advise clients on patent infringement risks and defense strategies.Assist in the design and implementation of user interfaces and product features to ensure compliance with patent laws.Review and analyze technical documents, drawings, and engineering schematics to ensure accurate patent filings.Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in relevant technologies to provide forward-thinking legal advice.Job Requirements:2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience in a law firm or industry setting.Experience in working with software-related technologies, AI, IoT, networking, or quantum technologies.Strong understanding of patent law and intellectual property rights.JD from an accredited law school.Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.Active membership in good standing with the state bar.Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related field.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications and Licenses:Admission to practice before the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office).Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia (or eligibility for admission).Skills and Competencies:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex technical concepts.High level of academic achievement and attention to detail.Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, and quantum computing.Proficiency in drafting patent applications and legal documents.Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and colleagues.Job Location:
