These guidelines may change to meet the specific business needs of Centrifuge Media.This position requires a self-motivated and creative professional with experience in both print and digital media. The Sr. Visual Designer reports to the Art Director and works with internal creative team members and external design resources to develop company- and client-branded custom visuals for events, presentations, marketing collateral, and general communications. The Sr. Visual Designer should have experience developing engaging communications on a variety of platforms.Primary Responsibilities: Graphic DesignCreate innovative and engaging theme campaigns for various eventsWork closely with Art Director and Creative Operations to adhere to project budget and timelinesDevelop original and creative design concepts that resonate with our client's goals and objectivesEnsure that all designs adhere to our brand guidelines or client brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identityCreate impactful presentations, with a focus on visuals, rather than text-heavy contentCollaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with internal teams and clientsPerform miscellaneous tasks, as directed by Art Director and Creative DirectorQualifications:A minimum of an Associate's (2-year) degree in advertising, communication design, or visual arts. A Bachelor's (4-year) degree is preferred4+ years of design experience in an agency setting is requiredDemonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing tacticsProficient Mac OS user. Windows OS is a plus.Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft Office PowerPointExperience in 2D motion design is a huge plusSkillsMastered composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished final pieces (i.e., attention to detail)Comprehensive computer photo-retouching and image development skillsDemonstrated complete understanding of:Color theory and color relationshipsTypographic terms that identify type forms and the specifications required to refer to typographic settings (i.e., points, leading, picas, kerning, tracking, cap-height, x-height etc.)Print production process, knowledge of production techniques, and correct prepress proceduresDemonstrated ability to:Communicate thorough knowledge of assigned product(s)Effectively check and approve work on pressEffectively collect electronic materials for outputManage challenging situations both internally and with the clientThink creatively and provide marketable solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing contentDemonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skillsBalance competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentLearn, grow, and innovateOccasional travel may be required.This is not a remote position.Candidates must provide a portfolio or work samples to be considered.
