As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Fractional Chief Information Officer (CIO) to assist our CTO in developing our IT strategy and drive the next phase of our technological advancement.
The CIO will be responsible for overseeing robust cyber security measures as the company completes its ISO 27001 certification. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in consumer technology, cyber security, and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record of managing IT operations, and the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals. The CIO will work together with the CTO to ensure all cyber security policies are implemented and audit the current technology department for improvements and provide support to adhere to best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Audit of the company’s IT strategy to advise on overall business objectives
Provide visionary leadership for technology development and innovation
Partner with the CTO and executive leadership to align IT initiatives with business strategies and goals
Cyber Security Management:
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust cyber security policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data protection and information security
Lead efforts to complete ISO 27001 Certification process and proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats
Azure Cloud Management:
Manage and optimize our Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
Oversee the deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud services and applications
Drive cloud adoption strategies and leverage Azure’s capabilities to enhance business operations
IT Operations and Management:
Supervise and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation
Oversee the development and execution of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business needs
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and other external partners
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure optimal service delivery
Communicate IT strategies and progress to stakeholders, including executive leadership and board members
Innovation and Improvement:
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements
Implement best practices to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency in IT operations
Qualifications
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) preferred
Proven experience (10+ years) in IT leadership roles, with a strong background in consumer technology
Extensive experience in managing cyber security initiatives and ensuring compliance with security standards
Experience with an ISO27001 Certification or the equivalent
In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services and experience with cloud architecture and management
Demonstrated success in leading IT teams, managing budgets, and executing technology projects
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership
