Attorneys work alongside other attorneys, case coordinators, paralegals, and legal assistants, assisting individuals with employment-related claims.Responsibilities

Conduct consultations and initial case investigations to determine whether a claim has merit.Locate and interview witnesses, gather and review relevant documents, including incident reports, payroll records, supporting claim evidence, medical and psychological records, findings, and reports of State and Federal investigative bodies.Draft and serve demand letters, and draft and file pleadings, including summonses and complaints, Agency Charges, petitions, and other initiatory documents on behalf of the client.Draft, file and argue, when required, various motions on behalf of the client, including discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, and related memoranda of law.Draft discovery demands and responses as per the CPLR and the FRE.Conduct depositions of the Defendant, non-party witnesses, and expert witnesses, when applicable.Retain expert consultants when necessary.Represent the interests of the client at hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations and other proceedings.Negotiate settlements on behalf of the client.Conduct legal research, using Westlaw, Lexis or other legal research databases.Remain current on developments in civil litigation.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

Admission to NYS Bar as well as NDNY and other federal courts as needed.Strong knowledge of PC applications, Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Strong oral advocacy, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to handle large caseloads and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.Preferred Experience:

Prior employment law and litigation experience.Compensation

$65,000 - $100,000 yearly
